General donations and other gifts are used to defer production cost, storage, maintenance of the Memorial Quilts and other traveling Museum Artifacts. These funds also defer cost and upkeep of the custom runway and related equipment and maintenance.

Sponsorship

Due to the enormous growth of the exhibit over the past 30 years, the quilt and custom runway have become quite cumbersome to manage requiring trained personnel and caretakers to setup and present this exhibit.

Families of lost loved ones seeking to schedule the memorial quilt for an event are urged to reach out to local businesses and organization to sponsor your vigil or other such outreach. Such sponsorship will cover the cost of bringing the memorial quilt to your event. The minimum requirement for sponsors would be the cost of transport, setup and production of the exhibit.

Funds should be paid to the order of Durham Homicide National Memorial.

Community Fundraising Events

Churches, civic and youth groups, interested in donating to the memorial exhibit may connect with a booking manager to help organized garage sales, bake sales, spaghetti socials etc. These are fundraiser that help defer cost of the Ataraxis traveling museum and national outreach and ongoing efforts.
